Saturday 22nd June, not only was it a fantastic sunny day at Party in the Ponds in Fishponds Park but it was an extremely busy one too. Numerous acts were on stage throughout the day with people dancing along to the music and visiting the many stalls.
Fibro Friends were fortunate to be given the opportunity of running a booth at the event to raise awareness of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/M.E., Sjogrens Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. People visited the stand to find out more information and we were also approached by a disability group requesting that we visit them to give a talk on Fibro Friends and the conditions we support.
We were able to raise more than £100 which will enable us to raise awareness and help more people in the future. Dawn, Helen, Jeanette and Lisa represented the group on the day. We look forward to the 2020 event and hope that many more of our members will join us on the day.
Lastly, thank you to those both within and outside the group who contributed products for us to sell on the day. You enable us to exist and carry on our journey of awareness.
